Group Financial Controller

The Consultancy Group are working with a high growth, fast paced Tech business based in Central London. As Group Financial Controller, you’ll play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial health of the business. You’ll manage day-to-day financial operations, lead the annual group audit, monitor global cash flow, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

What You'll Do

  • Manage and support a team of three (two Senior Management Accountants and a Finance Assistant), overseeing workloads, development, and performance.
  • Lead the Group’s annual audit, including the soft close (Jan–Mar), minimizing post-year-end adjustments, and coordinating deliverables across departments.
  • Review and ensure accuracy of monthly and quarterly management accounts and consolidated financial statements.
  • Drive financial insight and performance analysis in collaboration with the FP&A team.
  • Partner with Accounts Payable, Receivable, Tax, Payroll, and other teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of month-end reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with the group’s platform capitalisation policy, working closely with Product, Engineering, and Data teams.
  • Prepare financial reports for the Board and Executive team.

About you

  • ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 5 years PQE in a similar role.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly FRS 102.
  • Proven experience leading audits and preparing consolidated financial statements.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
