The Consultancy Group has partnered with a highly acquisitive PE-backed Technology business, who are looking to hire an senior finance leader to join an fast-paced team! The role will be entering into a high-volume M&A team working closely with a variety of stakeholders at all levels helping to support and direction of the business.

  • Lead the global M&A Finance team
  • Collaborate with the M&A team to evaluate and assess acquisition opportunities.
  • Manage FDD and TDD workstreams (working with the external stakeholders), analysing key drivers and identifying risks for each target business.
  • Contribute to the investment committee, reviewing and challenging the underlying investment thesis.
  • Negotiate and finalize all EV to Equity bridges.
  • Work closely with the Legal team to address financial aspects in the SPA.
  • Serve as the financial lead during the completion process, coordinating with Treasury to ensure proceeds are transferred according to the transaction documents.
  • Oversee all deferred consideration calculations and manage the subsequent transfer of funds.
  • Supervise quarterly and annual M&A board reporting.
  • Oversee the financial integration of target businesses, including insurance, tax, and fleet considerations.
  • Lead the role mapping and integration of acquired finance teams, ensuring a smooth transition and integration process.

Key requirements

  • Qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA with significant post-qualified experience
  • Background in Transaction Services/Corporate Finance
  • Strong financial modelling/analytical skills
  • Very financially astute with the ability to break down both publicly listed and private owned P&L’s.
  • Experience conveying complex business models to senior management.

Group Financial Controller
The Consultancy Group are working with a high growth, fast paced Tech business based in Central London. As Group Financial Controller, you’ll play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial health of the business. You’ll manage day-to-day financial operations, lead the annual group audit, monitor global cash flow, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. What You'll Do Manage and support a team of three (two Senior Management Accountants and a Finance Assistant), overseeing workloads, development, and performance. Lead the Group’s annual audit, including the soft close (Jan–Mar), minimizing post-year-end adjustments, and coordinating deliverables across departments. Review and ensure accuracy of monthly and quarterly management accounts and consolidated financial statements. Drive financial insight and performance analysis in collaboration with the FP&A team. Partner with Accounts Payable, Receivable, Tax, Payroll, and other teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of month-end reporting. Ensure compliance with the group’s platform capitalisation policy, working closely with Product, Engineering, and Data teams. Prepare financial reports for the Board and Executive team. About you ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 5 years PQE in a similar role. Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly FRS 102. Proven experience leading audits and preparing consolidated financial statements. Advanced Excel skills.
