The Consultancy Group are working on a Senior Finance Manager/Accounting Manager opportunity with a well known travel business based in Central London.
Great benefits that include very flexi working, bonus up to 30% and Xmas/New Year period off.
 
Responsibilities:

This role is of significant importance and requires active involvement, working closely alongside the Senior Manager of Accounting and reporting directly to them. The following key responsibilities are expected:

  1. Project manage the monthly financial reporting cycle.
  2. Ensure that the US GAAP general ledger accurately reflects operational scenarios and adheres to accounting guidelines.
  3. Streamline and optimize accounting processes to enhance the accuracy and completeness of financial reporting.
  4. Prepare the management commentary to support the regional financial reporting package.
  5. Review balance sheet reconciliations prepared by the accounting team, ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley controls.
  6. Lead, manage, and develop a team of enthusiastic and ambitious accounting professionals.
  7. Foster a culture of transparent communication, encouraging timely and informal feedback to empower individuals, elevate performance, and facilitate professional growth.
  8. Develop a profound understanding of the organization’s business landscape, both operationally and structurally, in order to comprehend and synthesize the information that informs accounting decisions.
  9. Promote a robust control environment.
  10. Collaborate with colleagues across Controllership and various business areas to break down functional barriers and gain a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end processes.
  11. Undertake ad hoc projects as required.
